On the 22nd September we had a inset day where our nursery was closed for the children and our staff had a training day.

The day started off with a lovely breakfast, before we got straight into training around our nursery ethos. The team had the chance to nominate themselves to champion each one of our ethos points. It was great to see our staff’s passion to support our nursery ethos and we look forward to seeing the work our ethos ambassadors bring to light in the nursery.

To support our school readiness programme, our pre-school team had a lovely phonics training session. The roles reversed and the team took in an activity where they played the roles of the children whilst being led through a phonics session from Monkey Puzzle Angel’s very own Olivia. The team left the session inspired with ideas and ways that they can extend the children’s phonics knowledge.

The day ended with the staff having some time in their rooms to sort out resources, rearrange the room and had a team meeting.
